The Council

The Council is made up of key representatives of the Partnership network, together with senior staff nominated by DECC, Ofgem, the Energy Retail Association, the British Energy Efficiency Federation, the Energy Saving Trust and the devolved administrations, as well as representatives from trade bodies and independents.

The Council is responsible for the governance of the Partnership as set out in the Partnership's Constitution. It determines the Partnership's strategic direction and policy, and makes decisions collectively on behalf of the whole Partnership. We review the performance of the Partnership against commitments in our annual work plan and budget. We ensure the Partnership meets its obligations, is adequately resourced, fit for purpose and responds appropriately to emerging themes and relevant policy initiatives.

The Council is supported by the Chairman's Advisory Group and guides and supporting the Secretariat in its role as facilitator of the Partnership.
