The Council is made up of representatives from each of the sector working groups, together with senior staff nominated by DECC, Ofgem, ERA, BEEF, EST and the devolved administrations, as well as representatives from some trade bodies and independents.
We are the body that is responsible for the governance of the Partnership. Details of governance are set out in the Partnership's Constitution. We set the Partnership's strategic direction and policy and make decisions collectively on behalf of the whole Partnership. We review the performance of the Partnership overall and that for each sector working group against commitments in our annual work plan and budget. We ensure the Partnership meets its obligations, is adequately resourced, fit for purpose and responds appropriately to emerging themes and relevant policy initiatives.
We are supported by the Chairman's Advisory Group which helps implement and promote our policies, decisions and guidance throughout the Partnership, and ensures cross sectoral issues are appropriately addressed.
