The Local Authority Experience of Influencing Owner Occupiers to Improve the Energy Efficiency of their Homes

This report was prepared by Hestia on behalf of the Local Authority Operational Group and sets out the findings of research into local authority action to promote energy efficiency amongst owner occupiers. The aim of the research was to address a knowledge gap in relation to schemes working with able to pay customers and to inform debate on how to assist local authorities to influence owner occupiers to make their homes more energy efficient.

Research into Legislative Drivers for Local Authority Senior Managers

This report was prepared for the Local Authority Operational Group by impetus Consulting, with Energy Action Scotland. The research aimed to provide an understanding of the main legislative drivers, duties and objectives of local authority chief executives and senior managers, beyond the scope of sustainable energy. It also aimed to identify how sustainable energy touches these duties and drivers and recommend how the Partnership can use these legislative requirements across local authorities as points of leverage.
