Briefing Paper on Energy Efficiency Commitment 2005-8
13.May.2005
The Energy Efficiency Commitment obliges electricity and gas suppliers to achieve energy saving targets for the promotion of improvements in household energy efficiency in Great Britain. The current phase of the Energy Efficiency Commitment (EEC2) started on 1 April 2005.

SE2, on behalf of the Energy Efficiency Partnership for Homes, has produced a briefing paper on EEC2. The paper provides an overview of how the scheme works and takes a view on its possible impact on various sectors. It also looks at how the scheme differs from the previous scheme (EEC1).
