The Partnership's Annual Fuel Poverty seminar took place on 20th November at the Hippodrome Theatre in Birmingham and was a well attended event with representatives from a range of sectors.
In the morning updates were given from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and from Simon Roberts of CSE, Russell Hamblin-Boone from the ERA and by Catrin Maby of SWEA, one of the organisations to benefit from the Community Energy Efficiency Fund (CEEF).
In the afternoon, delegates heard from Angela Mawle of the UKPHA and Simon Church of eaga on the links between health and fuel poverty. This was followed by a choice of breakout sessions on: the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS); Energy Advice; Integration of grant schemes; The tensions between affordable warmth and climate change.
The closing remarks were given by William Gillis, Deputy Chair of the Partnership.
