The Energy Saving Trust has been working with the Department of Energy and Climate Change to roll out a pilot programme which will see five partner organisations delivering projects across England between now and March 2011. Details of the pilots have now been announced.
The pilots chosen are: Birmingham City Council, Gentoo Sunderland, British Gas, B&Q UK and Stroud District Council. A total of around 500 homes are to take part in the trial; the individual projects are still in the early stages of development however the first households are expected to be signed up from January 2010 onwards.
