Home Information Pack scheme extended 30.Aug.2007 The Home Information Pack scheme (HIPs) has been extended to cover three bedroom homes in England and Wales from 10th September 2007. Study recommends focus on TV's on-mode energy consumption 30.Aug.2007 A recent study says that the EU should focus on the on-mode power consumption of TVs of different screen size due to the increasing energy consumption related to the use of TVs in European households. According to the results of the study the primary environmental impact of TVs is related to the on-mode energy consumption in the use phase.
