Consultation with Call for Evidence on Energy Efficiency
The new Secretary of State Edward Davey has today launched the Energy Efficiency Deployment Office and a consultation on energy efficiency, including a call for evidence. This is the first step towards developing a new energy efficiency strategy. The call for evidence document contains eight questions, ranging from setting priorities and the overall ambition, to international lessons and learnings, investment and finance, behaviour, case studies, and to using fuel efficiently and re-using waste heat. The consultation runs until 4th April.

The purpose of this summary report by DECC is to provide an overview of what proportion of the UK’s greenhouse gas emissions are directly attributable to heat related activities, and how these activities can be broken down by their source sector and the type of activity.

Bristol secures funding to develop energy services company
Bristol is to receive a £2.5 million grant from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to meet most of the costs of developing an energy services company and investment programme.
